Late Last Year I auditioned for a Chinese new years TVC for our beloved Macca's or as Singaporeans call it, Mac. I didn't get a featured role but as always am generally happy to make a Background Cameo in the TVC despite it going about 6 hours over time and I had to call off a shift that my counterpart pulled out of for the Baber Hendricks Promotion. I was not lead or featured extra so I spent a lot of time just passing out on the humid set and taking and tweeting Macro photos of fruit flies and Moss growing on a Tree, literally.

I've always wanted to do a McDonald's AD, after all I consider the franchise to be family with relatives welcoming you regardless of race, class, background, martial status (admit that you've been attracted to a Macca's girl before), occupation, or wardrobe (I've seen hobos and transit officers). Family offering you affordable comfort all over the world, willing to feed you the food you were nurtured with at insane hours like 4:30 am because they can afford to be open forever. Family that occasionally reinvents perfection and offers a foreign spin, in this case the Prosperity burger for Chinese new year. 
 
This TVC was to Promote the arrival of some saucy chicken fillet burger-fixation, the burger was not to be officially released till 2013 and it has to be made in a Mac to be real, so I was generally horrified with the pallet loads of counterfeit burgers they made in the non Macca's home kitchen on set although with genuine McDonald's raw material. 

After seeing the birth of the prosperity burger by the hundred or so for several hours, I don't want to see it let alone eat it. But I can't turn my back on family so I did three weeks later in the form of a meal on another set as the provided catering.

Short Lived and prospered.

Sadly I tweeted: "There is no Macca's breakfast for breakfast on the Macca's set at 8am. I expect Irony People" also I have not been updating this Blog as much as I'd want to, it's somewhat difficult for me to gauge what I should post as there is all the confidential legality of stuff that's why I have no photos other than Moss from this set, having to wait for the video to come out so it becomes public domain and by then I kinda am over it moving on to new sets and productions and it feels like an archival entry. and being a multimedia-O-phile I must have worthy photos if not videos, and then again that takes some time to edit. I will be Vigilant, the next few days I'll make smaller back log entries.
