This Blog:
On Sunday I did some Cameo scenes for a Youtube Parody Music video and met this inper-PSY-nator (video is not out yet Derp). Most Energetic and Charismatic guy I've met in ages, turns out he is not even an actor or a singer/rapper he just works in a cafe or something. Yet he was the guy  bringing the show, changing wardrobe of OTT bright clothing in public, Photo trolling tourists at darling harbor, skipping all meals, buying me a drink and jumping into a didgeridoo buskers jam and Gangnam gentlemotherphucking it up on his own (really do hope you are up to date on PSY's latest track), I assisted his stage crashing with 2 moonwalks and mirrored a few uncoordinated dance moves, it's been some time.
Trailer just released today.

More text after you click read more over there...
I told the guy he has confidence and what it takes (is this the formula for talent?) as well as the added benefit of really kinda looking like the korean electric pop viral international sensation. I was a bit skeptical to coming on to another set that doesn't pay me but I needed to find my feet again in Sydney, somehow when he greeted me that morning at Central station where many talents pulled a no-show, everything was okay and we were just hanging out and shooting stuff, also I wanted to represent in this AZN Australian MV (be patient). There is still undiscovered and lost talent out there (I know it cos I am one myself), I intend to push him a bit in the direction of being an entertainer.

Performance Rating: 5.5
decent moonwalks but terrible dancing, I still cannot dance to save my own life.

So I'm Back in Sydney and I have to say I think I ruined my life here, there is pretty much nothing for me to do here, lost contact with friends, work, feels like I was born yesterday. Last week I re-enlisted on Starnow (where I got the above gig) and have been doing the usual look every day for work every few hours and paid entertainer jobs are far and wide and highly sought after as well as unpaid.
The answer to surviving in Sydney as an Actor or Asian Actor for those up for more of a challenge is to do Promo work. (that and the unemployed actors welfare AKA. CenterlinX) Now I discovered this in 2011 just before I left for SG and realised that it is the only other job that functions exactly the same as being an actor at least for commercials. You report to an agent, they report to a client, often pictures and videos are taken, you need to be in uniform, smile and perform to the public and act like you love the product as well as be well educated on the role/product, aka a brand ambassador. You need to be on a flexible schedule and may be called on short notice to work as a team or sometimes alone to various sometimes remote and exotic locations. (Phone rings for job flying to Alice Springs*)
Finally it really helps paying the rent and meeting great people who chances are either models and or actors as well (some fab ladies of course) you may even encounter photographers and production companies.
It's considerably more stable, less chaotic and explosive than acting.Anyway, that's promo work in a nutshell and it would be like my 3rd or second favorite job. I earned my first $50AUD for just being on standby last Saturday.

I couldn't get a shot of myself because they play other stuff.
Anyway we are getting off Topic so I will post this random Sentosa Singapore Attractions video I did WAY back as my first gig early in SG in 2011 which was amazing because It was my first time there and I was pretty much paid to be a tourist first time on a Segway etc.

It is playing on repeat at this massive screen at VivoCity Harborfront where you queue up to buy your monorail ticket to sentosa island, the Queensland in Tasmania of SG.

Performance Rating: 9
It was me having a good time as me and I don't even have to try, it's all was a good time.

It's time to play Spot Jack again... Solutions below.
